Round The Twist Tameside

Took my nephews here the other day. They absolutely loved it. The place had a small gated toddler section, and the area for the older kids was on three levels, which was cool. There are a lot of tables for parents to sit at, and the cafe has a decent amount of choices in terms of food and drink. The only thing they were disappointed with was that there wasn't a ball pit because they love a good ball pit. The service was good and I'm sure we'll come again.

Took my niece to Round the twist play centre and we both had a fab day. Toddler play area was spotless, all baby toys were clean and lots to choose from. Sensory area, different pop up play area e.g play post office, play house and mini climbing frame. Tables for the adults were constantly being cleared from pots and cleaned. Reasonable food menu for both children and adults, luxury hot drinks were very nice! Very reasonable admission prices and adults were only £1 entry, overall brilliant experience at round the twist, staff were very welcoming and helpful, will definitely be returning!

Surprisingly spacious soft play area, with loads for bigger kids to explore. Great slides and all the moving bits work! There are a couple of tight spots for adults... There is also a substantial area for smaller kids with "shops" to role play in and a sensory area for tiny kids. Everything is kept in good condition (always wear shoes in the toilet!), staff are friendly, and the snacks are good too. Plenty of parking space.

*FOR what reason do I have to lie Susan. I was there at 1pm on the 2/4/23 happily check your cameras. I did in fact notify a member of staff and even wrote on the sign in sheet that the place is filthy. You actually only had one staff member visible, she looked rushed off her feet. The fact you have called my review fake rather than looking into the issue, apologising for my poor experience and asking for further information says it all. Disgusting customer service and dirty place. No comment on the baby changing facility access ? You know that’s an issue surely ! Why would you place the slide right in front of the door!! I wish I took photos for evidence but to be honest I was rushing to get out of there. Disgustingly dirty, specifically the baby area where you think would be looked after the most. Toys are visibly dirty before going up to them. The baby changing was difficult to access as they have a ball pit and slide in-front of it, you cannot physically open the door fully. I had to laugh when told the place had been deep cleaned just 24 hours before, not a chance. At your own risk take your baby.

We’ve previously had a birthday party here. It was ok. But found it really odd that we were kept on the car park with cakes and balloons until the minute the party started. We have visited a few times in the week and it’s been fairly low numbers, so been okay for our Autistic child. We went early in the day last week, so the environment would be accessible. We were told we now how to book online but as it was quiet they’d let us in. Prices have increased significantly (for school holidays) and now have to pay for adults to sit in with our child. Supervision is a two person job for our little one!! So our visit cost an extra £5!! Won’t be back!

Took my two year old autistic boy who was super excited to visit on a Tuesday afternoon … upon checking google it stated it was open however on arrival at 2.20 we were told that they will close at 2.30 and reopen at 3.30 . At this point my two year old was overly excited and was at the small ball vending machine and raring to go have a play . I asked the staff member politely if it’s possible to pay and stay for the 10 minutes and then be back later at 3.30 for a further 10 minutes… the staff member was unsure so shouted out to a member of staff who was across the room. This lady shouted something back but I was unable to hear what was being said … I then politely asked if my child could stay 10 minutes and I will pay . The lady then came over and I once again repeated my self explaining that I have an autistic child who at this point was trying to explore and was super excited … I was refused point blank and told that she would have to sign him in and that it’s not possible todo 10 minutes . I further explained how I am willing to sign him in and pay for 10 minutes as that’s all he needs anyway as he would have got overwhelmed anyway after a 10 minute play and I was extremely worried about a potential meltdown if refused entry I was once again declined with no other option offered or no compassion shown for my situation ! A point blank refusal of entry without a reasonable explanation. I mean 10 minutes ? Really ? The next session was at 3.30 till 5pm my child wouldn’t have needed all that time and a simple 10-20 minutes would have sufficed even 5 minutes if the option of doing 10min now and rest of minutes later was not available ! Considering it’s a place of play for small children u would think they see this type of situation often and are able to cater to such situations ! This lady then walked away when I explained she could allow my child in at her discretion ! This lady was extremely rude and showed no signs of empathy for my situation . By this point there was 5 minutes left before they close but obviously I had to go because I now had a screaming crying two year old child and a baby who was oblivious to what was going on. Outside the play area I met a lady who also thought that they should have let my child play as they weren’t closed and shouldn’t have been a big deal and that the staff working there are moody, inconsiderate and not friendly . I was so upset by the whole situation and seeing my son in tears and having a meltdown was heartbreaking as I had told him since morning he was going play area and as he is non verbal he would show me pictures in my phone to try and communicate he wanted to go play area . I was so upset and rang them up only to be told the same thing by the same lady of course who’s name is PAT no sure how true that is . This lady is made of a stone cold heart , working in a play area should not just be a job but a rewarding career . This lady is not worthy of having innocent beautiful children around her and should find a different job !!! Never will I visit ever again and will not recommend anyone togo here ! They were non accepting of my autistic child and further more should be ashamed !!!

Wouldn’t even give a 1 star absolute disgusting and disrespectful staff told us to come back half hour later to then be told there’s no space and we should book online but didn’t say this when we first turned up then decided to ask us to move and wait outside seeing my child have a melt down with his autism absolutely disgusting
